As we get older, our face begins to show signs of aging due to factors like sun exposure, lifestyle, and gravity. As these factors combine, they cause a breakdown of collagen underneath the skin and the face begins to show signs of fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging.
In the past, individuals used facial creams and other remedies that claimed to restore youth and give the face a rejuvenated appearance. However, it soon became apparent that these types of treatments did not provide a long-term solution and other forms of facial rejuvenation were developed.
Today there are many injectable fillers that exist in the world of plastic surgery. I am proud to offer many different types of fillers at my Dallas-Fort Worth practice in order to address any needs that you may have to improve your facial appearance.
Recognized as the most well-known injectable in the world, Botox® cosmetic is known to reduce and eliminate facial lines and eliminate wrinkles for months at a time. It works by paralyzing the muscles of the face and causing them to relax, which gives you a smoother and more youthful facial appearance. The most common areas that Botox® is used on are the forehead and eye area for crow’s feet.
